Mattie Jackson is a best-selling author, speaker, and podcaster with a degree in creative writing from the University of Tennessee. Tragically, she lost her husband of less than a year, Ben Selecman, in September 2018 after he suffered a traumatic brain injury while on vacation in Florida. I was asked to photograph her for the cover of Nashville Lifestyle Magazine at her parents Alan and Denise Jackson of country music legend. At their estate in Nashville Tn. We listened to Fleetwood Mac, talked about life, hung out with the dogs, and captured some awesome portraits of Mattie. It was so much fun, and her and her team were a dream to work with.
